Lip Neutralisation
Care Guide
-
Avoid Blood Thinners
Avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or alcohol for 24–48 hours before the procedure. These can increase the risk of swelling or minor bleeding.Hydrate and Moisturize
Drink plenty of water and keep your lips hydrated with a nourishing balm before your appointment. Well-moisturized lips respond and heal better.Avoid Sun Exposure
Stay out of the sun or tanning beds for a few days before your appointment. Sunburned or irritated skin can make the procedure uncomfortable and affect results.Stop Using Exfoliating Products
Do not use lip scrubs, retinol, or exfoliating acids on or around the lips for at least 5–7 days before treatment. This prevents sensitivity or irritation.Avoid Caffeine
Limit caffeine intake on the day of your procedure to reduce sensitivity and potential swelling. No Cold Sores or Infections
If you have a history of cold sores, consult your technician about taking an antiviral (such as Valtrex) before treatment to prevent an outbreak. Reschedule if you have any active cold sores or infections.Clean Lips
Arrive with clean, makeup-free lips. Do not apply any lip products, balm, or gloss before your session. -
Keep Lips Clean and Moisturized
Gently cleanse the lips with clean water and apply the provided aftercare balm 2–3 times daily to prevent dryness or cracking.Do Not Pick or Rub
Avoid touching, rubbing, or peeling any flaking skin. Allow natural exfoliation to occur for best healing.Avoid Hot, Spicy, or Salty Foods
For the first 48 hours, avoid hot drinks, spicy, or salty foods that may irritate the lips.No Makeup or Lip Products
Do not apply lipstick, gloss, or any cosmetic products until the lips are fully healed (about 3–5 days).Avoid Smoking & Alcohol
Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol for 48 hours post-treatment to promote proper healing.Avoid Sun & Heat Exposure
Keep lips protected from direct sun, saunas, steam, or swimming for at least 7 days after treatment.Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water to support healthy recovery and maintain lip moisture. -
Immediately After
Lips may appear slightly pinker or brighter with mild swelling — this is normal and temporary.24–48 Hours
You may experience tightness, dryness, or light flaking as the lips begin to renew.Healing Phase
Over several days, the lips will soften, and tone will even out naturally. Some dryness or shedding is normal. -
Results
Noticeable brightening can appear after the first session. Full results develop gradually over multiple sessions (typically 2–4), depending on how dark the lips are. -
Maintenance
Once the natural base tone is restored, you can proceed with Lip PMU (Lip Blush) for longer-lasting color enhancement if desired.
