Gentle Removal
-
Pregnant or Breastfeeding Individuals
Not edically advised due to a lack of safety studies; hormonal changes can also affect skin reactions.
People with Very Light, White, or Grey Ink
Laser is less effective or ineffective on non-pigmented or light pigments, especially older or faded cosmetic tattoos.
Recent Microblading or Cosmetic Tattooing
Wait at least 8–12 weeks after microblading or brow tattooing for the pigment to settle before considering removal.
People Taking Certain Medications:
Especially those on:
Accutane (Isotretinoin) — must stop for 6–12 months before treatment
Photosensitizing drugs (e.g., certain antibiotics or acne meds)
Blood thinners — increased risk of bruising
Skin Conditions in the Treatment Area:
Such as eczema, psoriasis, active acne, infections, or open wounds on/near the brows.
Tanned or Sunburned Skin
Increases risk of burns, hyperpigmentation, or hypopigmentation — avoid sun exposure at least 2 weeks prior.
History of Keloid Scarring or Poor Wound Healing
Increased risk of adverse skin reactions or scarring.
Dark Skin Types (Fitzpatrick V–VI)
Not necessarily unsuitable, but requires specialized lasers and highly trained providers to avoid pigment loss or burns.
Autoimmune or Blood Disorders
Should consult a physician first, as healing may be impaired or reactions more likely.
Unrealistic Expectations
Those expecting immediate results or complete removal in one session may not be good candidates mentally/emotionally for the process.

A snapping or stinging sensation like a rubber band pop. Topical numbing cream may be applied beforehand.Short Sessions:
Eyebrow sessions are typically quick (5–15 minutes).Eye Protection:
Protective shields or goggles will be used to safeguard your eyes from the laser.Multiple Sessions Required:
On average, 4–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart are needed for effective removal.Fading, Not Instant Removal:
Pigment fades gradually over time as your body breaks it down. -
Avoid Sun Exposure:
Stay out of direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
Wear SPF 30+ sunscreen around the eyebrow area (avoiding direct contact with the brows).
Discontinue Certain Products:
Stop using retinoids, exfoliants, acids (AHA/BHA), or lightening creams around the brows for 5-7 days before treatment.
No Tweezing, Waxing, or Threading:
For at least 2 weeks before treatment. The laser targets pigment in the follicle, which must be intact.
Remove Makeup:
Arrive with a clean face — no makeup, lotion, or skincare around the eyebrow area.
Medial Disclosure:
Inform your provider of any skin conditions, medications (especially antibiotics or Accutane), or recent procedures (like microblading or chemical peels).
-
Cold Compress:
Apply a cold pack to reduce redness, swelling, or discomfort for the first few hours.
Keep the Area Clean & Dry:
Use gentle cleansing and avoid scrubbing. Pat dry with a clean towel.
No Makeup or Harsh Products:
Avoid applying anything to the treated area for at least 24–48 hours.
Avoid Heat & Sweat:
No saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, or heavy workouts for 24–48 hours.
Do Not Pick or Scratch:
The area may scab or flake slightly. Picking can cause scarring or infection.
Apply Healing Ointment (if advised):
Some providers recommend a thin layer of petroleum jelly or antibiotic ointment to promote healing.
Sun Protection:
Avoid sun exposure and use SPF 30+ daily after healing begins to prevent hyperpigmentation.
Expect Fading Over Weeks:
Pigment will break down and fade slowly over 2–6 weeks after each session.
